Atlantic Propane Training Course

The Atlantic Recreation Vehicle Dealers’ Association (ARVDA) is partnering with Okanagan College to offer an online propane training course with practical applications.

The details for the course are as follows:

Course Prerequisites:
a) candidate must be currently employed
b) candidate must have been active in the trade for the past 24 months
c) candidate must have the current issue of the B149 code books

An email from the candidate’s dealership must be received at the ARVDA office to Victoria Reid confirming all prerequisites. It also must state the candidate’s full home address, phone number (home & cell), date of birth, dealership and email address.

Payment for the course can be made by credit card or cheque.

Online  January 16 – February 25, 2020
Practical  February 28 – March 1, 2020
Course Duration:
  • Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7:00 PM – 10:30 PM Atlantic time
  • 56 hour program incl. final exam
Cost: $775 +HST  for ARVDA member 
$1000 +HST for non-ARVDA member
Books: Current issue of the B149 code books (B149.1-15 & B149.2-15) will be required for the course. They can be purchased through the CSA website as a special bundled package.

Pass mark for the course is 70%. Once the candidate has successfully completed their final exam, Okanagan College will forward a certificate of completion and a final grade for the course to them.

All training and testing will be completed online.
