We heard from many participants that the RV Careers booth was the most interactive and offered many activities to gain hands-on experience on numerous skilled trades found in the RV service technician trade! Our team of volunteers and supporters from CRVA, Fraserway RV, NTP-Stag Canada, Okanagan College, Roulottes ProLite, RVDA of BC and Woody’s RV World interacted with over 1500 students, competitors, teachers and parents.
The 2022 Skills Canada National Competition was held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on May 26 and 27, 2022. More than 300 competitors from all regions of Canada participated in over 35 skilled trade and technology competitions. The competitions for post-secondary competitors were held onsite while secondary student competitions were held virtually.
Through these competitions, Skills/Competences Canada seeks to raise awareness about skilled trade and technology sectors to youths and their influencers.
RV Careers has been participating in the annual Skills Canada National Competition since 2013 as a Try-A-Trade® and Technology partner. We continue to attract people to experience and ask questions about the RV Service Technician trade and other career opportunities in the Recreation Vehicle industry.
By providing a forum where Canadians can compete at the national level, SCNC provides hands-on work experience related to skilled trade and technology careers. The 2023 national competition will be held in Winnipeg, MB. See event photos.
