Nova Scotia Apprentice Mark Passmore Wins $5,000 NTP-Stag Canada Bursary

Third-year apprentice Mark Passmore has been named the grand prize recipient of the 2025–2026 NTP-Stag Canada RV Technician Bursary, taking home $5,000 to support his training and career in the RV service technician trade.

Passmore, who works at Jerry’s RV in New Minas, Nova Scotia, earned the national award from the RVDA of Canada and NTP-Stag Canada for his exceptional hands-on skill, dedication to ongoing learning, and commitment to service excellence.

"Winning this bursary is a massive milestone in my apprenticeship journey," said Passmore. "I am deeply grateful to the RVDA of Canada and NTP-Stag Canada for investing in the next generation of technicians. Thanks to NTP-Stag Canada's generous support, apprentices like myself have the resources we need to master our craft, tackle complex new technologies, and keep the rolling realms safely on the road."

NTP-Stag Canada Surpasses $103,000 in Workforce Funding

The national bursary program provides critical financial aid to eligible technicians and fixed operations personnel across Canada—helping cover tuition costs, course fees, and the specialized tools needed on the shop floor.

Passmore’s award marks a major milestone for the program sponsor, NTP-Stag Canada. With this year’s distribution, the leading aftermarket provider has now contributed more than $103,500 since 2017 directly toward Canadian RV workforce development.

Their ongoing support ensures that rising talent across the country has the backing needed to keep pace with rapidly advancing RV technologies and build rewarding, long-term careers in the industry.
