The Man Who Said Yes to a Weekend Job
Daniel Morin never set out with a grand plan to build an RV dealership. In 1970, he and his wife, Thérèse, took over the RV side of her father’s small business after Daniel began helping out on weekends so his father-in-law could go fishing.
Starting with two employees and a one-bay service shop, Daniel and Thérèse grew the business into Roulottes Desjardins. Along the way, Daniel adapted to industry changes, built lasting manufacturer relationships and became a leader in the Canadian RV industry, serving as RVDA of Canada president in 1992 and 1993.
His story is about more than business growth. It’s about recognizing opportunities, learning as you go, building relationships and contributing to an industry beyond your own dealership. Sometimes, a weekend job becomes a whole career you never planned for.
