Building Memories from the Ground Up

For Wyatt Fisherman, a career in the RV industry is a natural extension of a life lived outdoors. His connection to the lifestyle started early; his mother often recalls his very first camping trip at just eighteen months old, where his excitement was so overwhelming that he simply refused to sleep. Today, he is transforming that lifelong passion into technical expertise as one of the industry's most promising young technicians.

Wyatt’s path was shaped by a unique, hands-on education. From building houses from the ground up in high school to mastering complex systems at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), he has consistently demonstrated a "trades-first" mindset. His academic record—a stellar 3.73 GPA—earned him a spot as a guest speaker for SAIT’s Apprenticeship Day, where he advocated for the trades in front of an audience of 200 industry leaders and government officials.

The transition from student to professional was nearly instantaneous. Wyatt landed a position at a dealership right away, where he quickly became an indispensable part of the service team. He hit the ground running, mastering essential technical tasks like repacking bearings and de-winterizing trailers with a level of precision that belies his age. His supervisors have been quick to offer praise, describing him as a "reliable, motivated, and promising" addition to the shop whose dependability is rarely seen in those just starting their careers.

Beyond the technical work, Wyatt has a natural gift for connecting with the people behind the vehicles. He views every interaction as an opportunity to be part of a customer’s journey, ensuring their "house on wheels" is ready for the road.

I want to help others create the same kind of lasting memories I’ve been lucky to make,” Wyatt says, “and I’m excited to keep learning and growing in this trade.
